The Senior Expert for Clinical Pharmacology will become the pivotal person in providing the pharmacology input into the Phase I of the clinical development, in a variety of therapeutic areas.

The Senior Expert for Clinical Pharmacology will provide the pharmacology input for global clinical development plans, collaborating with therapeutic leads representing each therapeutic area. The expert will participate in external vendor (CRO) selection and the consequent management of the vendor relationship. He or she will scientifically supervise the clinical study conduct; lead the clinical data interpretation and reporting with view of newly obtaining or maintaining respective regulatory approvals that are necessary for the compounds to be agreed for the following clinical phases. The Senior Clinical Pharmacology Expert will also have an active role in identifying and evaluating new in- and out-licensing opportunities, formulating a pharmacology science viewpoint on matters that present themselves. 

In this advanced Pharmacology role, the Senior Expert will be able to benefit from their previous technical experience and use it to acquire managerial experience within a varied matrix environment. Apart of technical responsibilities, the pharmacologist will practice his or her scientific argumentation and persuasion skills in order to influence the decision making pertaining to clinical trials and new product opportunities. Thus, having impact on the decisions taken by the company, will prepare him or her for stepping into a position of a key decision maker in the future.
