SFPT Privacy Policy for the journal  Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology

Authors, Reviewers and Editors (“Users”)

The learned society Société Française de Pharmacologie et de Thérapeutique (or “SFPT”, “we”, “our”, “us”) owns the scientific journal Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology (or “FCP”) published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (or “Wiley”).

This page is used to inform our website Users regarding our policy with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If anyone chooses to use our Service, then they agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy as well as any other party involved in the use of this Service. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share the information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

To give authors the opportunity to submit their scientific articles for assessment to our single-blinded peer review process, the SFPT, for their journal FCP, use the website: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fcp”  provided by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (or “Wiley”) and ScholarOne/Clarivate Analytics. Those third-parties have access to the data registered on the “mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fcp” website. They have each their own privacy policy.

The third-party companies are employed due to the following reasons:

• To facilitate our own Service;
• To provide the Service on our behalf;
• To perform Service-related services; or
• To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We want to inform our Service Users that these parties or third-parties have access to their Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose than the performance and promotion of the journal and its articles, and claims for contributions to the journal.

The SFPT, and especially the editors and admin of the journal FCP, have access to the authors’, editors’ and reviewers’ data, when contacted directly, or through the “mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fcp” website.

This website may require Users to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Users’ name, affiliation(s), phone number, and electronic and postal address. The information that is collected is only used to contact and identify Users. No other use is made of the collected information by the SFPT. The provided Personal Information may be supplemented with information that we may have checked or received from third parties.

AUTHORS

By submitting articles or material to Fundamental and Clinical Pharmacology, Users consent to our collecting and processing of their Personal Information in connection with the dissemination of their published contribution.

Personal Information will be used to notify Users of our Service, such as information on the process of the review, publication of their contribution, and to liaise with them.

The name and contact details of the corresponding author are part of the published content. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors consent to the submission and publication of the submitted work. The publication will be made available on our publisher’s (Wiley) platform and distributed to third parties:

• Content aggregators;
• Abstracting and Indexing databases
• Repositories
• Library tools
• Author dissemination services.

EDITORS AND REVIEWERS

Editors’ and Reviewers’ details will be added to the “mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fcp” website when they are invited or assigned for the review process.

The website may require them to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to their name, affiliation(s), phone number, and electronic and postal address. The information that is collected is only used to contact and identify them. No other use is made of the collected information by the SFPT.

SECURITY

We value Users’ trust in providing us their Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our Service may contain links to other sites. When clicking on a third-party link, Users will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 18. DATA RETENTION

Data remains registered on the “mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fcp” website and available for the editors and admin to run the Service until otherwise decided by the Users.

ACCESS AND MODIFICATION OF DATA

Personal Information entered on the “mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fcp” website in the Users’ created accounts may be accessed and rectified by the Users themselves.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
